AV Coordinator – Responsibilities and Duties
AV Coordinator: We are searching for a weekend & shift work AV & Lighting Coordinator for audio, lighting & photo booth services in the Halifax area. Our chosen candidate will be responsible for all aspects of our audio video, lighting & photo booth inventory & maintenance of stock – including, but not limited to: equipment event prep, equipment delivery, equipment setup, equipment removal & equipment return/ replacement. As the initial on site event representative, you will professionally interact with our clients, venue management and staff, maintain audio/visual inventory and perform administrative duties. Small video projects, including filming, editing & processing may be requested as part of our social media & promotional initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
Our candidate must present a professional and positive image, have proven customer service and communication skills and possess strong organizational and administrative skills. This position combines technical and customer service skills, so an outgoing personality combined with technical abilities, a desire to please and a professional, groomed appearance is a winning combination! An understanding of audio visual equipment and services is an asset and preferred, but not required. Experience within the special events industry and in a hotel environment is helpful. This is a weekend & shift position with set as well as flexible work hours. Repeated lifting of 50lbs or more may be required. A valid driver’s licence, reliable transportation and the ability to work weekends as well as occasional mornings & afternoons is required.
