With DJ experience from Vancouver, South Africa, Miami and the Caribbean, True North owner Scott Rideout has been on the global entertainment scene since 1997. From DJ & stage producer to Entertainment Director of International cruise lines, Scott’s skills as DJ, MC, singer, comedian and producer have not only taken him around the world, but have given him the exposure, experience and perspective needed to read any crowd producing top quality events every time.

Not only a DJ - Scott has produced, worked with and hosted, some of the leading artists in the cruise line and international performance industry including; 5th Dimension, the Coasters, the Platters and Dazz Band, to local celebrities like Mike Robinson and Bobby Arvon.

Recognize the face? Originally from Toronto, this actor and entertainment industry triple threat has appeared in local commercials & National TV slots. His live event experience got its start running karaoke & music events in the GTA. Now, armed with the knowledge of "what song works when", Dave is excited to be pleasing special event crowds in venues around the HRM.

Function: All-Around-Good-Guy

Specialty: Multi-genre Assassin

The consumate "night-owl". DJ Classy Bills - only he can explain his name. Getting his start in deep, dark  function halls that shall remain nameless, Chris is the first to say "no problem, I can  do that..." and has developed into a multi-genre DJ who loves to see clients happy and searches for those who have Indie-spirits. Chris will do whatever it takes to make clients happy and is one of the hardest working DJs on the team.

Alias: DJ Kolkata

Function: Producer & Beat-Juggler

Weapon of Choice: Serato & S4

Specialty: Bass Pumping & Club Thumping

Passionate about music from a young age and, by the age of 12, Cody was programming beats on his first mixer. In those days it was all Snoop and Dre; now it’s Chew Fu and David Guetta. Now you can find him rocking crowds with his NS7fx. As a producer, all music inspires Cody, though he has been largely influenced by DJ AM, Chew Fu and David Guetta, and has worked extensively with local artists. His music of choice is dance; however, Cody has honed his skills as a well rounded DJ with an appreciation for whatever moves the crowd. Having played at the numerous weddings, the T-Room, Pride Party 2009 & 2010, Citidel High dances and private functions Kolkata enjoys the Halifax party scene - one which has opened his eyes to a broader aspect of music, engaging and advancing his creative passion to places he had never imagined.

Realizing this passion in Junior High & High School, it was then that Matt started producing instrumentals and opened his eyes to the power of the DJ. Today, not only as a DJ, MattyBoh is producing for several local artists and is part of well known groups around town fronting his production company, MattyBoh Productions. Whether behind the board or the decks, watch out for this aspiring, young Producer/ DJ.
